Question:

How can I find out my date of discharge? When should it come off my credit report?

Answer:

You should contact your Trustee to determine the date of your discharge. The credit bureau advises that your bankruptcy will stay on the report for 6 years after discharge for a first time bankrupt and 14 years for a second bankruptcy. Please check out our website at www.alger.ca and select About Credit to learn more about your credit rating after bankruptcy Thanks for the question.
