Bankruptcy Calgary Edmonton Q&A Forum

If a trustee has closed a bankruptcy file because his client hasn't met his obligations how much does it cost the undischarged bankrupt to reopen his file? Does this have to be done through the court?

An undischarged bankrupt needs to contact his/her Trustee directly to determine what fee the Trustee requires to reopen a file. A Court application must be brought to both reappoint the Trustee and for an application for discharge. The Court nmay also require a bankrupt pay additional funds to obtain a discharge dependent upon the bankrupt's circumstanmces.
