My bankruptcy began in August 2013 and will continue to April 2015. My Trustee prepared my income tax return for 2013 (2 tax returns were done - 1 pre (Jan-July) and 1 post (Aug-Dec) bankruptcy) and the refund(s) were immediately applied to my debt. As my discharge won't take place until April 2015, will my Trustee also be responsible to prepare my 2014 Income Tax Return and apply the refund to debts or do are they only required to complete the first income tax return on my behalf?

Your Trustee is not responsible for the filing of your 2014 tax return, you are. However the refund will be forwarded to the Trustee if a Court Order so directs. Thanks for the question
