Alberta bankruptcy Q&A forum

Question:

I have a consolidation loan of about $32,000 from credit card and LOC debt. I am currently paying almost $700 a month for this. I would like to go to school to get a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science but I cannot afford to go back full time with these loan payments, and I am having trouble finding anyone who will give me a student loan or LOC because of it. How can I do this? I just want a better life but I am seriously paying for the poor choices I made in my younger years. Please help me!

Answer:

Tina Given your circumstances, it is unlikely that you will find financing outside of a student loan. I suggest you consider restructuring your existing debt through a Consumer Proposal. Please give me a call and i would be happy to schedule a no charge appointment at you convenience
