Edmonton, Calgary bankruptcy Q&A forum

Question:

If I hold part of a title on land do I have to declare it if I declare bankruptcy? If I do not declare this property what are the penalties??

Answer:

Hi You must disclose all interests in land and all other assets to the Trustee and this information is summarized in a sworn statement of affairs. Failing to disclose an asset is a Bankruptcy offence which may have ramifications for a discharge from bankruptcy and potentially an investigation which in the worst case can lead to an RCMP investigation.
