Bankruptcy Calgary Edmonton Q&A Forum

Question:

Are tax obligations addressed through bankruptcy as well? or do these debts stand regardless?

From:

Answer:

Hello, Tax obligations are addressed through bankruptcy. There are a few circumstances that allow the tax debts to survive after a bankruptcy discharge but this would be discussed with you prior to filing an assignment into bankruptcy. Please do not hesitate to contact our office to discuss any concerns you may have.
