Bankruptcy Calgary Edmonton Q&A Forum

Hi, I am wondering what happened if you file for bankruptcy when I'm left owing on my house, vehicles and Holliday trailer. I have been making it fine until we have lost about $1000 a month income. So my question is would I lose the trailer, truck and my house if I file for bankruptcy?

Morning Greg, If you can afford to maintain the monthly payments and you would like to keep the trailer, house and truck than you are able to do so in a bankruptcy filing. The equity available will be reviewed and discussed with you before you make a decision but you shouldn't lose any of those items if your intention is to keep it. If you have any further questions please contact our office to discuss. Have a great day.
