Alberta bankruptcy Q&A forum

Question:

I am a creditor in a bankruptcy which has taken 1.5 years here in Alberta. I am owed nearly $40,000 and rely on the inspectors to pursue the case. What am I able to do at this point to move this along to resolution? Thank you.

Answer:

Hi Elizabeth, I am assuming that the Trustee and Inspectors are working on realizing assets for the bankruptcy estate. Depending on the type of bankruptcy file and the asset it may take a few years for a resolution. I would suggest following up with the Trustee for regular updates and if possible you may want to be an inspector.
