Question:

if one goes through the process of declaring bankruptcy would you lose your vehecle

Answer:

Hi Celia, If your vehicle was financed and you were able to continue with the monthly obligations then you may keep your car. However, if there is more than $5,000 in equity then you may need to pay an amount into the bankruptcy but you won't lose your vehicle. If you own your vehicle and it is worth less than $5,000 then you can also keep it. Please contact our office if you had any questions concerning your protected assets.
