Alberta bankruptcy Q&A forum

Question:

I declared bankruptcy in Ontario in 1991. If I file for bankruptcy in Alberta, will the one in Ontario be considered as my second one under Alberta law or will it be considered my first time in Alberta if I file.

Answer:

Hi Bruce, If you had filed Bankruptcy in Ontario and now considering filing bankruptcy in Alberta then it would be your second filing under the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act. If you had any other concerns please do not hesitate to contact our office.
