Question: |
I went through a bankruptcy 16 years ago and was done in 2007 I believe. I have built up my credit since and now have a good credit score. Nothing regarding my bankruptcy shows on my credit report. I am going to apply for a mortgage...do I have to disclose that I filed for bankruptcy? Thanks! | |

Hello, If the mortgage company asks the question - if you have filed bankruptcy before ? then you are required to have full disclosure. I don't believe it will be an issue as the bankruptcy reporting was purged from your credit report. Good Luck with your mortgage. Susan Methuen |
