Calgary bankruptcy Q&A forum

I am in bankcruptcy. I am having surgery soon and will not be able to work. I work in Fort McMurray. I have a small pension that will pay my mortgage with nothing left over. Can I refinance my mortgage to get lower payments to get through until I can work again?

Hello, You will need to contact your mortgage company or a mortgage broker to discuss refinancing. Refinance your mortgage before your surgery may allow you to avoid drawing from your pension. All the best with your surgery.
