Question:

I'm about to voluntary repo my Harley Davidson motorcycle how do I avoid paying the difference bankruptcy?

Answer:

Hello, I would suggest that you review the finance contract for the motorcycle. If it is a conditional sales contract and the finance company seizes the Harley Davidson then you may not owe a shortfall. However, if it is a regular finance contract then I would suggest that you look at selling the motorcycle if it is worth the same as the financing amount. Conversely, if the balance outstanding is more than the estimated value of the motorcycle then you could be responsible for the deficiency. We would be happy to sit down and review the formal options with you if you feel that the deficiency and other credit cards or loans are not manageable.
