Calgary, Edmonton, Alberta bankruptcy Q&A forum

Just a quick question. I had declared in 2010 I believe and was never able to fully complete the payment schedule every month. The file has now been closed and has been for some time now. Is there a possible reason you can think of as to why the declaration is not showing on my credit report? Says I have a 655 score but that seems awfully high to me knowing my credit history. Thanks for you time, Chris

Hi Chris, Your credit score could be a reflection of your current debt repayment after declaring what I am assuming a bankruptcy in 2010. People that receive their discharge can re-establish and have fair to good credit rating within two years. It would depend on credit extended to you after the discharge and your repayment. Hope that answers your concern.
